Although I expected a different flavor from the regular nutritional yeast, which isn't obviously there, I like this product for the health benefits of black garlic. I do think, however, that this would be better in flake form. The powder blows up and off the food if there is heat or any kind of gentle draft, say, from an open window or the kitchen hood. This is a powder, not flakes, and is good, but frankly there's no obvious difference in taste between this and regular nutritional yeast.As this is the first time i've tried it, maybe i haven't developed the ability to notice the difference yet, but if you're looking for a new taste that you get right away, you could skip this (unless you have a fairly developed palate).
